Sinéu is located in the heart of the island of Mallorca, administratively forming part of the Mancomunidad del Pla, the Consell de Mallorca and the Government of the Autonomous Community of the Balearic Islands, and historically and culturally forming part of the old Crown of Aragon, in the Pla de Mallorca region.
The town of Sineu is located in the heart of the island of Mallorca and still preserves aspects of its noble past today.
A tour through the streets of its historic center will show the visitor beautiful stately houses and monuments of interest, finding various crosses and some wells of medieval origin, as well as old windmills, which recall the importance of cereal cultivation.
Being a portion of the Pla de Mallorca, the relief is basically flat, without major geological accidents. However, two structures that alter this flat geography should be mentioned: Monte de Sant Nofre (255 meters) and Monte de Reig (206 meters). The municipality includes small population centers or districts called Son Rossinyol, Son Robí, Reig del Canonge, Sant Nofre, el Talaiot, Son Creixell, Sa Ritxola, Sa Ritxoleta and Son Vanrell.
Some have wanted to link Sinéu with a place called Sinium de la Mallorca Romana that mentions a place with a certain population.
